We select the best rental companies in the world and negotiate with them about a large number of rentals. That way we manage to get the most favourable prices. We are able to pass these low prices on to our customers by offering them a simple all-in formula.

You have to be at least 21 to hire a car - in some countries the minimum age is 23 - and you should have your driver's licence for at least one year. This minimum age depends on the rental company, the destination and the category of the car you chose. In some countries you might have to pay a young driver's surcharge.

Yes, all necessary insurances like legal liability (LL), accident/damage waiver (CDW) and theft protection (TP) with remaining excess amount are included in the holiday autos prices.

The CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is always included in our prices. This insurance depends on the destination and the local rental company. The CDW waives the excess completely or partially when there is damage to the car. Unfortunately, there is always an excess payable in most cases. This excess can be bought off by our all insurance formula. You can choose this option when making your reservation.

The TP (Theft Protection) is always included in our prices. This insurance depends on the destination and the local rental company. The TP waives the excess completely or partially when there is damage to the car. Unfortunately, there is always an excess payable in most cases. This excess can be bought off by our all insurance formula. You can ask for this option when making your reservation.

As soon as you make your reservation, you receive an e- mail to confirm your booking. This e-mail contains all the necessary information, like pick-up and drop-off place and the dates. We advise you to save this e-mail. Once the payment is made, you receive a second e-mail with a link that brings you to your voucher. You will have to print this voucher and hand it in to the local rental company when picking up the car.

For most of the destinations you only need a national driver's license, but some countries do ask for an international driver's license. For more information, please, contact our call center. Please, note that both a copy and a theft declaration of the driver's license are not accepted.

Only the car category is guaranteed. The model or type of car is only indicative. When picking up the car with your voucher, you can freely ask the local rental company which cars are available at that moment.

There may be several drivers for one car. Depending on the destination, the rental company can ask for a surcharge per extra driver. You have to pay this amount locally when you pick up the car. More information on possible surcharges can be found on our website.

You can choose this option when making your reservation. Your request is then transferred to the rental company, because they alone can confirm which accessories are still available. This option has to be paid locally. More information on possible supplements can be found on our website.

All supplements have to be paid locally to the rental company.

If you signed up for a cancellation waiver protection (10 euros per reservation) when making your reservation, you will not be charged.
If you did not sign up for a cancellation waiver protection, you will be charged according to the date on which you made your cancellation. If you cancel your booking :

* more than 31 days before departure, you will not be charged
* between 31 and 20 days before departure : € 20
* between 20 and 5 days before departure : € 25
* less than 5 days before departure : € 50
* In case of a "no show" the entire rental sum will be charged.

For rental cars of the categories A, B and C, you immediately receive a fax or e-mail to confirm your reservation. During high season these categories may also be put "on request". For so-called "on request" categories (big cars, seven-seater vans, breaks, convertibles ...)
you will receive a confirmation within 48 hours if the car is available. When the payment is done, you will receive a voucher.

When picking up your car, you need to present the following documents :

* the driver's license of the driver mentioned on the voucher
* the driver's credit card, which was used to effect the payment of the rental
* the voucher you received from holiday autos.

You can pick up your car from the local rental company whose name and data are mentioned on the voucher you received.

Our local rental company reserves the right to decide whether he will charge you for an extra day or not. If you need the rental car for a longer period than the period agreed upon, you can call our emergency number to extend the rental period. Our emergency number is mentioned on the voucher.

In case of an accident or damage, the local rental company will retain the excess. If you signed up for our all insurance formula, you may recover this money from holiday autos on condition that you send us the following documents (exceptions not included) :

* a copy of the damage report
* the rental agreement
* the police report
* proof that the excess has been retained.

After approval has been given, holiday autos will refund the excess within 30 days.

When making your reservation via our call center you can ask for another drop off place. For some rental companies you have to pay a surcharge for this. The amount is mentioned when making your reservation, and has to be paid locally.

The PAI is the Personal Assistance Insurance. This insurance covers all medical and legal costs for the driver and his passengers. This insurance is optional and mostly included in travel insurances or personal insurances. Please, check your policy conditions.

For only 3 euro per rental day, holiday autos offers you the all insurance option. This option covers the costs of the excess (which are very expensive locally) in case of an accident theft of or damage to the car. By sending us some documents, holiday autos will handle your file and refund the excess within 30 days after receipt (exceptions not included).

The Gold Pack is an option which includes 1 extra driver and a full tank of gas. You don't have to pay seperately for this extra driver. Caution : this option is only available in the USA and Canada. According to the terms and conditions of american rental-companies, it is in some cases possible that your rental car is cheaper when you take this option than without it.

With the Gold Pack comes the opportunity to have someone else drive the car in the USA or Canada. With teh all insurance option you "pay" to make the excess-costs "go away".
